Virtual Packaging, a Grapevine, Texas-based producer of packaging prototypes, mockups and comps, is scheduled to install a Highcon Beam digital cutter and creaser this spring. It will be the first Highcon Beam installed in an all-digital B1 packaging ecosystem in North America and will help move Virtual Packaging into production-length runs of folding cartons.

Highcon announced the launch of a new range of consumables for the company’s digital cutting and creasing machines. After analyzing customers' usage of Highcon's Euclid and Beam machines, Highcon has launched the DART Premium and DART Economy consumables lines.

The first Scodix E106 to be installed in North America is heading to TPC Printing & Packaging, a paperboard packaging printer in Chattanooga, Tenn. The new machine will replace TPC's Scodix UltraPro with Foil, which it installed in May of 2017.

Highcon Systems showcased its new Euclid IIIC digital cutting and creasing machine at FESPA in Berlin. Matt Bennett has been named to the position of VP of sales and general manager of Highcon Americas. Bennett has previously worked in various positions with AVT, HP and Heidelberg, and will be responsible for sales operations in the United States and Canada.
