CHICAGO—Messe Düsseldorf will participate in PACK EXPO 2010 in order to promote its worldwide program of international packaging trade fairs, including interpack PROCESSES AND PACKAGING 2011 (to be held from May 12 – 18, 2011 in Düsseldorf, Germany); UPAKOVKA/ UPAK ITALIA 2011, 19th International Trade Fair for Packaging Machinery; Packaging Production and Packaging Material (scheduled for January 25 - 28, 2011 in Moscow, Russia); and PACK PRINT INTERNATIONAL 2011, 3rd International Packaging and Printing Exhibition for Asia (to take place from August 31 – September 3, 2011 in Bangkok, Thailand). At PACK EXPO booth N4447, exhibitor and visitor information for the trade fairs will be available, as well as information on hotel and travel arrangements.
interpack 2011 is the No. 1 international trade fair for the industry, where every three years more than 2,700 exhibitors from all over the world showcase the very latest in packaging systems and machinery, packaging materials and confectionery machinery, as well as accompanying services. In 19 exhibition halls covering an area of over 2 million square feet net, a comprehensive international range of products is presented. At the show’s last staging in 2008, 179,000 visitors from 121 countries took part.
Following difficult months due to the international economic crisis, the Russian packaging industry is experiencing increased demand for innovative packaging solutions from food and beverage producers, confectionery manufacturers, and companies in the cosmetics, as well as the pharmaceuticals industry. Russia is still set to become one of the world’s biggest consumer markets and packaging manufacturers in the Russian Federation need to invest in order to meet the growing expectations of the consumers—and UPAKOVKA provides the ideal platform. In February of this year, 300 exhibitors presented their products to 21,000 industry professionals from the entire Russian Federation at UPAKOVKA (the visitor number includes attendees at the concurrently held INTERPLASTICA trade fair).
