With HP Indigo solutions for the label and folding carton segments already installed, Nosco has announced it will expand its digital packaging capabilities into flexible packaging with the addition of an HP Indigo 20000 Digital Press and Karlville Pack Ready Lamination System. The new equipment is set to be installed this summer in Nosco's Carrollton, Texas facility.

HP Inc. has announced significant adoption of the high-volume HP Indigo 8000 Digital Press worldwide. The device can print at up to 262 linear feet (80 m/min), enabling label converters to move toward an all-digital production floor by printing any run length or any application with an HP Indigo fleet.

ePac Flexible Packaging, a provider of digitally printed flexible packaging, has announced its expansion into Europe with a manufacturing facility planned to be opened this year in the United Kingdom. This expansion builds on the 15 locations ePac has already announced for the United States.

Xeikon has announced its development of a digital printing solution for pouches. The solution has been developed for use in consumer goods markets and provides a response to industry trends such as increased SKUs, shorter lead times, and the popularity of flexible packaging.

At Dscoop Edge, currently underway in Orlando, Fla., Esko has unveiled a tailored version of Esko Automation Engine, designed for HP Indigo users. The label and packaging automation software drives more jobs to HP Indigo equipment at faster speeds and provides additional features specifically designed for digital printing.
