Discover, Learn, Connect at PRINTING United Expo 2024
We are at a transformative moment in the evolution of business and manufacturing, with tools being built with the capacity to leapfrog a printing business’s success. To help printing and converting leaders navigate this exciting but unknown future, Packaging Impressions spoke to Mark Subers, president of exhibitions and events at PRINTING United Alliance, about PRINTING United Expo 2024, happening from Sept. 10-12 at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
PRINTING United Expo is unique in its ability to fuel synergistic opportunities across the entire printing industry — from label and packaging to commercial, wide-format, apparel, and promotional products. Here’s what we learned about the event and why you should make your way to Las Vegas this September and mark your calendars for PRINTING United Expo 2025, being held Oct. 22–24, 2025, in Orlando, Florida.
Innovation Across the Entire Printing Industry
PRINTING United Expo is renowned for its focus on innovation, showcasing cutting-edge technology and solutions across all segments of the printing industry, including label and packaging printing. PRINTING United Expo 2025 has more than 1 million sq. ft. of equipment, solutions, and the latest trends on display.
“We show all printing technologies. That’s our promise to our attendees,” Subers explains. This approach enables manufacturers to explore not only technologies that can serve their clients’ needs today but also technologies that help them expand their customer base and diversify their revenue streams.
This holistic approach is resonating. Each year, PRINTING United Expo attracts more exhibitors and attendees, compounding the value of the event to the printing industry. The growth of the Expo is a testament to its value and the high-quality experience it offers.
Robust Educational Program
A standout feature of PRINTING United Expo is its robust educational program. The 2024 event has more than 50 educational sessions planned, with 18 in the label and packaging track alone. This isn’t even accounting for the Forums, which can be a quick way to dive deep into a new manufacturing segment.
For example, the Packaging Impressions Forum created in collaboration with NAPCO Research will deliver critical insights derived from NAPCO Research’s deep knowledge of the printing and packaging industries, including label, folding carton, and flexible packaging manufacturing applications.
This will be complemented by a presentation leveraging the Packaging Impressions editorial team’s comprehensive knowledge of the packaging market. With the aim to deliver a real-world view of the opportunities and challenges in preprinted label and packaging manufacturing, the magazine’s editor-in-chief will share insights from the publication’s coverage of convergence trends, including examples of printing companies that have diversified their services by adding label or package printing services.
Attendees will also learn how these companies successfully navigated the transition into the package printing community, overcame challenges both in label and package manufacturing in addition to servicing print buyers with packaging-specific needs, and repositioned their businesses to attract new clients while maintaining or deepening relationships with current customers.
Networking Opportunities
Networking is a critical component of any successful business strategy, and PRINTING United Expo excels in providing ample opportunities for attendees to connect. Commenting on the collaboration that happens at the Expo and other PRINTING United Alliance events, Subers says, “The information that these folks share with each other is just phenomenal. And I think it’s a differentiator in our particular industry.”
It also should be fun. This is why PRINTING United created the After Dark program for this year’s Expo. The PRINTING United AFTER DARK All Access Pass Package includes official networking events and complimentary “guest list” access to four AFTER DARK Nightclub events, including entrance cover, expedited entry upon arrival, and dedicated nightclub concierge services. Some of the more difficult clubs to gain entrance, such as Omnia at Caesars Palace, are part of this program.
Keep an eye on this space for the full video interview with Subers to come. In the meantime, you can get more information about the event or register for PRINTING United Expo 2024 at printingunited.com.
