Mark Andy's Performance Series line of flexographic presses has been awarded the 2011 Technical Innovation Award by the Flexographic Technical Association (FTA). This annual honor is bestowed upon companies ‘who seek ways to further refine and advance the flexographic print process and who bring significant contributions to the industry in terms of adoption, change and competitive posture.’

The largest event for the label, product decoration and converting industry in India took place on 8 to 11 December at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi. Labelexpo India was hailed a great success with 6,054 visitors in attendance, a figure that was up by 27 percent from the show in 2008.

Mark Andy announced two Performance Series machine sales in India, with both machines are scheduled for installation in early 2011.

ST. LOUIS, Mo.—Mark Andy Inc. reports a recent surge of machine orders in Australia. With support from its distributor Aldus Engineering Pty. Ltd., the company has taken orders for Comco and Mark Andy printing presses and Rotoflex finishing solutions.

ROSEMONT, Ill.—Despite the current unstable economic situation, Labelexpo Americas—which took place in Rosemont, Ill., Sept. 9-11—still saw a good turnout, with numbers exceeding 12,000. By the end of the show, more than 80 percent of the exhibition space had already been rebooked for Labelexpo Americas 2010. The show saw 420 national and international suppliers bringing their latest developments in technology and materials to demonstrate to the North American market.
