South Atlantic Contract Packaging is collaborating with Wake Forest University School of Business graduate students on a sustainability study of the company’s operations. This study will benchmark South Atlantic’s current ecological impact and allow for improvements across all aspects of the co-packing business.

AWT Labels & Packaging, a Minneapolis-based producer of labels and flexible packaging, was recently recognized by TLMI for its sustainability initiatives. Packaging Impressions connected with company President Michelle Zeller, who shared the following insights into AWT's sustainability journey.

ACTEGA announced that it has successfully removed Bisphenol A (BPA) and Epoxysilane from its laminating adhesives product range. Fortis Solutions Group's Merced, Calif. facility has achieved Sustainable Green Printing Partnership Certification, which recognizes the facility's commitment to sustainable practices throughout the printing operation, including its process, product, and social areas.

AWT Labels & Packaging was recognized with the Trailhead Award for companies building their sustainability program. In awarding AWT with the Trailhead Award, the committee stated they were "impressed with the way the company highlighted their program on downgauging, recycling and landfill avoidance."
