YORK Label Acquires Two Converting Companies
OMAHA, Neb.—YORK Label, a manufacturer of pressure-sensitive labels, has acquired both Cameo Crafts and Package Service Company, LLC. With these acquisitions, YORK Label becomes a multi-national company, approximately doubling the number of associates and increasing in size from five to 11 facilities.
Cameo Crafts is a solutions-oriented manufacturer of high-end decorative labeling and packaging technologies based in Canada and the U.S., and specializes in the pharmaceutical and wine and spirits markets. Cameo Crafts will operate as Cameo Crafts, a YORK Label Company.
Package Service Company (PSC) is a pressure-sensitive label company located in Kansas City, Missouri, specializing in four core markets: personal care, beverages, household products, and food. PSC has one facility, which will become YORK Label, Kansas City.
Simultaneously, YORK Label purchased a 50 percent ownership in a joint venture with Marinetti Packaging. The joint venture will operate under the name Cameo Marinetti and is located in Santiago, Chile.
Rich Egan, YORK Label’s chief executive officer, commented, “With the acquisitions of Cameo Crafts, PSC, and the 50 percent ownership in Cameo Marinetti, YORK continues to make immense progress in reaching our goal of becoming a significant global supplier partner to our major customers and markets. Cameo has a history of double-digit organic growth, and all three of these additions to YORK will give us a great edge in our efforts toward generating above-market organic growth. In the future, YORK will continually look to also grow acquisitively by remaining very active in the search for the right add-on acquisitions to this business.”
