Skandacor Sees Strong Demand for In-House Embellishment, Finishing at FESPA 2026
Skandacor is wrapping up an outstanding week at FESPA Global Print Expo 2026 after several days of high-energy conversations with print professionals, partners, and customers from around the world.
Held May 19 to 22 at Fira Barcelona Gran Via, FESPA brought together a global audience across wide-format, digital, textile, and specialty print. For Skandacor, it was the perfect place to connect with print businesses looking to bring more finishing, embellishment, and production capabilities in-house.
Two machines in particular led the conversation at the booth: the FINISHpro 1623 3D and the LAMpro Cheetah Photo. Both drew strong attention throughout the show, and by the end of the event Skandacor had sold multiple machines directly from the show floor.
The response reflects a larger shift among print providers: more businesses are looking to reduce outsourcing, protect margins, and add premium applications without expanding their footprint or sales teams.
“FESPA gave us the chance to have meaningful conversations with print providers from all over the world,” said Jon Congdon, VP of Sales at Skandacor. “What stood out most was how many customers were excited by the real production possibilities our technologies can open up. Print embellishment isn’t just about adding effects. It’s about helping print businesses create new products, solve customer challenges, and build new revenue streams.”
Visitors showed particular excitement around Skandacor’s specialty applications, including Raised 3D UV resin and SLEEKpro foiling and hologram effects. Many were impressed by the range of applications possible on the systems, from bold dimensional finishes to premium foil and holographic details.
One customer, who had been searching for a solution to create specialty effects on bags, found a clear fit with the FINISHpro 1623 3D. With the ability to apply raised UV effects, the system opens new creative and commercial opportunities for specialty packaging, promotional products, and personalized print applications.
“Those moments are exactly why we attend events like FESPA,” Congdon added. “When a customer realizes that something they’ve been trying to achieve is now possible, that’s when the value becomes real. It’s not just a machine on a show floor. It’s a new capability for their business.”
Throughout the week, Skandacor welcomed visitors from Australia, New Zealand, Africa, Europe, and the Americas, reflecting both the international reach of FESPA and the growing global demand for accessible, high-value finishing solutions.
As print providers continue looking for new ways to stand out, protect margins, and produce premium applications in-house, Skandacor’s portfolio of laminating, embellishment, digital die cutting, and finishing technologies continues to help print businesses expand what’s possible.
Skandacor leaves FESPA 2026 with new international relationships, confirmed equipment demand, and a clear signal that printers are continuing to invest in in-house finishing capabilities.
