Multi-Plastics to Purchase Extrusion Facilities
LEWIS CENTER, Ohio—Multi-Plastics, Inc. is in advanced negotiations to purchase the Reynolds Packaging KAMA Hazleton, Pa. and Avenel, N.J. extrusion facilities from Reynolds Packaging, Lincolnshire, Ill. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. The closing and transition expected to take place by the end of October, at which point this division will be known as Multi-Plastics Extrusions, Inc.
For more than 30 years, Multi-Plastics has partnered with KAMA to distribute polystyrene to the envelope and label industries. This acquisition establishes Multi-Plastics as the only manufacturer of bi-axially oriented polystyrene film and sheet to be vertically integrated from polymerization through extrusion and distribution.
In addition to OPS sheet, this introduces Multi-Plastics to the thermoforming industry as a merchant supplier of various PET, A/R PET, PETG, and co-extruded structures.
“Our exceptional service and knowledgeable team have always worked with our customers to understand their individualized application needs. Today, we can do so from the manufacturer’s perspective. It is an exciting time in the history of our company, and we look forward to expanding the product offerings we can bring to our current and future customers worldwide,” said John R. Parsio Sr., founder of Multi-Plastics.
