Ampac Offers Zipper Innovations
CINCINNATI—Ampac has introduced two new innovations: Inno-Lok®, a patented method of applying a re-closable zipper transversely to packaging films, and Pour & Lok™, a foldable zipper applied to film in the side gusset area of a package.
The Inno-Lok technology is applied transversely to packaging films producing pre-zippered roll stock film which can be used in form, fill, seal packaging applications. When compared to conventional non-zippered films, it provides a re-closable feature while incurring no reductions in processing and filling speeds and a savings of up to 25 percent in zipper material. Inno-Lok will be offered on Ampac's co-extruded surface printed films and laminated films, for both barrier and non-barrier end uses. Common applications include frozen foods, fresh produce, dry foods, pet food, confections, and lawn and garden products.
Pour & Lok is a foldable zipper applied to film in the side gusset area of the package creating a re-closable pour spout.
"Inno-Lok and Pour & Lok by Ampac are additional technologies that can add value to your customers and to their business," states Millie Nuño, Ampac's market manager for foods. "The pre-zippered film offers a unique solution to many food formats."
Re-launch for Fruity Skincare
BECCLES, UK—nspa has selected M&H Plastics for the re-packaging of its nspa Fruit collection of skincare products. nspa Fruit encompasses a range of fruity body scrubs, lotions, and shower and bath gels created by the experts at Nirvana Spa, the UK's No. 1 Day Spa.
The company selected M&H Plastics for this re-launch because of its capability to manufacture, print, and label the bottles, jars, and tubes in-house. M&H manufactured a 225 ml tube for the range of scrubs and body lotions, which were decorated using M&H's new hybrid print technology to give photo-realistic images of the fruits on pack.
Heather West, customer service manager at M&H, said: "It's been a pleasure working with Nirvana Spa on the new launch of their range. Together we have selected tubes, bottles, and jars from our extensive range and turned their products into irresistible must-have products at cost-effective prices."
Claire Wall, brand manager at nspa, said: "We were delighted with the result of the packaging. The colors are really vibrant and the quality of the components reflects our brand ethos—great quality products at really affordable prices. We were especially pleased with the finish of the print on the tubes; the new hybrid technology has made a big difference to the images of the Fruit, which look so real it's almost as though you could pick them from the tubes!"
