FSEA National Convention to be Held in New Orleans
TOPEKA, Kan.—The Foil & Specialty Effects Association (FSEA, www.fsea.com) has announced its 2010 National Convention, April 9-10, will be held at the Loews New Orleans Hotel, La. This year’s, the convention has been refined into a concise, 1½-day format. Also new, veterans in the print finishing, diecutting, and folding carton arenas will comprise 95 percent of the speaker line-up, offering attendees valuable industry knowledge and real-time ideas.
According to FSEA executive director Jeff Peterson, “Programming has been carefully developed to focus on practical ideas that can be implemented quickly and easily in strategic plans for short- and long-term growth.” Topics for the 2010 Convention include,

• Selling Tactics for Profitability and Market Gain;
• Sustainable Practices That Will Drive Opportunity;
• Flexible Business Practices for Strategic Growth; and
• Adding Value with Decorative Services—Defining New and Existing Markets.
The FSEA convention will co-locate with the International Association of Diecutting and Diemaking (IADD) Mid-Year Leadership Conference, bringing together a wide range of print finishing, folding carton, and diemaking skills under one roof.
In addition to learning from 20 industry veterans speaking on 16 topics, attendees can network throughout the event at the Welcome Reception; the Gold Leaf Awards Banquet, where winners of the 2009 FSEA Gold Leaf Awards Competition and the 2010 FSEA Lifetime Achievement Award Recipient, Ed Hughes with Metal Magic, will be honored; the FSEA golf tournament; and a plantation and swamp tour.
