EDALE to Showcase Autonomous Printing at Labelexpo
Brand owners are seeking higher quality printing at lower cost, and label printers are searching for ways to deliver superior output while reducing waste. To that end, EDALE’s autonomous flexo printing technology delivers exceptional quality and consistency with minimum set-up and running waste. During Labelexpo Americas 2018, EDALE will demonstrate its revolutionary AiiR technology utilizing autonomous controls at MATIK booth #5803.
EDALE presses with AiiR technology set the perfect inking and impression pressures and print register without requiring the operator to touch the press. EDALE’S AiiR printing system will also monitor and adjust the print register throughout the entire production run, delivering unmatched print repeatability and consistently low waste—less than two web lengths every time, no matter who is operating the press.
EDALE can connect finishing automation, auto-slit and auto-die loading/unloading on a combination semi-rotary/full-rotary die station along with EDALE AiiR autonomous printing on the FL3 press. Doing so creates the most automated narrow web flexo press on the market today.
EDALE’s FL3 and FL5 presses are available in 13”, 17”, 20” and 22” widths with a full range of options, including UV, combination UV/LED curing, hot air drying, EB curing, and cold/hot foil, laminating. They are also available with hybrid printing capabilities combining flexo with digital, screen and gravure. By adding EDALE’S EFX digital effects bar, flexo printers are able to offer digital high build varnish, digital cold foil, digital peel’n seal or digital screen white capabilities.
EDALE’S FL3 and FL5 flexo presses with AiiR autonomous printing technology and automated finishing options fully automate the entire production process—print station set-up, register control and finishing stations. Operator intervention and variation are dramatically reduced, leading to fewer errors and a more consistent, higher quality final product.
