ST. LOUIS—Mark Andy Inc. announced that the company had strong sales during first quarter 2009. North American sales volume for Comco, Mark Andy, Rotoflex and UVT equipment was higher than the prior year with international sales following suit.

In addition to orders for new equipment, MAX, the aftermarket service and support group of the organization has enjoyed tremendous success with enhancements and upgrades as well as press rebuilds. The engineering and manufacturing processes to support these initiatives have resulted in a significant first quarter and the team looks forward to continued success throughout 2009.
This increased capacity has encouraged Mark Andy Inc. to more closely examine its facility utilization worldwide. In response to this analysis, the company looks forward to expanding its production capacity and operations at the global headquarters in St. Louis, Mo. Aligning operational efficiencies, incorporating lean initiatives and maximizing value in both manufacturing and office environments will result in an even more stable organization to support the vast customer base.
