Coating Excellence International Wins Multiple Awards
WRIGHTSTOWN, Wis.—Coating Excellence International (CEI), a Wisconsin-basedflexible packaging company specializing in extrusion coating, laminating, printing, and woven bags, has received multiple awards for its printing and SUPER-TUBE bags. For the company’s SUPER-TUBE Kaytee Songbird Blend Bag, the Printing Industries Association and the Graphic Arts Technical Association (PIA/GATF) awarded CEI a Premier Printing Award, or a “Benny,” as it’s commonly referred to within the industry. The “Benny” award gets its name from the association’s logo, which features an image of Benjamin Franklin.
Given out every year since 1950, the Premier Print Awards are the industry’s oldest international awards competition. Each year, printing companies from the U.S., Canada, Mexico, South America, Australia, Hong Kong, and other nations around the world enter the competition. PIA/GATF is one of many organizations that have recently recognized CEI’s high-quality products and innovation. North American Publishing Company also recently recognized CEI for its water-based ink printing. The company received two of the three awards given out in the flexible packaging category this month in the annual Gold Ink awards competition. CEI was awarded a gold medal for its Finch Color Copier 17˝ x 11˝ Ream Wrap and a Bronze medal for its Kaytee Songbird Blend Bird Seed Bag. There were more than 1,500 entries in what’s considered the “Golden Globe” awards by many in the printing industry.
“By constantly investing in technology, CEI is able to produce the highest-quality print and packaging products,” said Michael Nowak, president of CEI. “Our year-over-year increase in production and sales is proof that we’re doing it right, however, it’s a great honor to win these awards as well.”
