Better Label Expands Digital Offering with Durst Tau RSCi Technology
With a rich history of custom label solutions and equipment distribution, Better Label, located in Atlanta, Georgia, has developed a reputation for their extensive knowledge and expertise in their industry. During a recent expansion evaluation, it became clear to Better Label their need to enhance and elevate their digital capabilities. The Solution? A Durst RSCi.
“We wanted a printer that would best support our existing portfolio and also give us the greatest flexibility without sacrificing quality, speed and reliability,” commented Kim Day, General Manager, Better Label. “We felt that the Durst RSCi gave us the best return for our investment based on our current needs, our customer’s needs, open projects and future growth plans.”
The Tau RSCi offers industrial level productivity with speeds up to 100m/min (328 ft/min) and 1,200 dpi technology, offering the high quality at high speeds. Better Label has had their RSCi for a few months and Day spoke for the team, saying “We are impressed by the speed with which we can complete jobs off the RSCi, and with the ability to print across a number of different substrates.”
Better Label has been impressed by more than their new digital capabilities, but also the partnership that has been forged. Day reflected on the experience, “The post sales commitment from Durst exceeded other equipment manufacturers that were evaluated. Beginning with their commitment to ensuring this decision was in our best interest, to holding our hand through installation and training, the entire Durst team has reinforced the idea that we made the correct decision.”
“Partnering with the Better Label team was a rewarding experience” commented Steve Lynn, Executive Director of Durst North America. “The RSCi will address their current and future needs and fits perfectly into their model of growth and evolution. We’re proud to have supported this important step in their digital journey.
The RSCi is the first capital investment made by Better Label and Atlantic Tap & Packaging since their merger in late 2023 and gives both legacy companies access to new markets. Day concluded, “This investment is just the first step in taking two great companies and making each even better, and we are excited to see where it takes us. It has been great to partner with Durst on this journey, and we are confident that this investment will not be the last.”
