AWT Labels & Packaging Helps Fortune 500 Company Win WorldStar Award

A tear tab closure strip AWT Labels & Packaging, a Minneapolis-based package printer, assisted in both designing and manufacturing for a Fortune 500 company, has been given a WorldStar Award by the World Packaging Organization. The award was presented to the Fortune 500 company in Milan, Italy last summer.

The ergonomically-designed strip provides easy access to medical devices stored within a carton by simply pulling away from the packaging. The tab then stays attached to the carton, eliminating a loose piece that needs to find its way to a trash bin. The design is intuitive and user-friendly, an essential duo in any healthcare setting.

The tear tab previously won an Ameristar award in 2014 for its innovative and complex structure.
