At Labelexpo Americas 2012, a steady parade of show attendees were treated to a wide array of new products and technology demonstrations. A major highlight of the show, the Label Industry Global Awards 2012, took place on Tuesday, Sept. 11 at the Aragon Ballroom in Chicago. Steve Lee, vice president of technology at RotoMetrics, was honored with the prestigious R Stanton Avery Lifetime Achievement Award.

Sun Chemical will showcase its full range of solutions at Labelexpo Americas 2012 for the narrow web, tag and label market. Some highlights will include inks and coatings, brand protection, prepress services with high-definition digital plate technology, and a dispenser program which lowers ink spend by up to 45 percent.

Sun Chemical was recently honored with a 2012 InterTech Technology Award from Printing Industries of America (PIA) for its SunPak™ LMQ products. SunPak LMQ inks offer a comprehensive solution to brand owners and converters who are looking for ways to address migration concerns for food, pharmaceutical and tobacco applications.

The international exhibition covering printing technologies, drupa, has come to a close with clear success for Uteco.

Sun Chemical has invested $3.1 million (CAD) in a new state-of-the-art ink manufacturing plant in Laval, a north suburb of Montréal, to provide stronger customer service, improve efficiency and reduce costs.
