QuadTech Brings Vendors Together to Link In- and Off-line Color Control Systems

High definition dot viewing on-the-fly

QuadTech claims its new SpectralCam HD colour measurement system could make offline colour measurement of web-fed packaging film "a thing of the past". The new system’s high definition viewing capability is said to facilitate easy on-the-fly detection of dot abnormalities such as pin-holing, bridging, doughnuts and halos. Images are captured at 2,500dpi and made instantly accessible through the Icon user interface, "so that dot quality detail can be analyzed by the human eye as soon as ink is transferred to the substrate". "The operator has reassurance that dot abnormalities will be detected to a much higher standard than was
