Joe Alden, Sr. started the printing inks company in 1957, a tradition which is being continued by his four sons. Tom Alden is president of the printing inks companies while his brother John runs the lab and Ted is in sales. Joe Alden, Jr. is president of Premier Blanket Company. They remain one of the few family owned printing ink companies in the U.S.
