Today's PRINTING United Expo Exhibitor Spotlight highlights Komori America's plans for the upcoming show. Mark Milbourn, executive VP of sales and service, shares his expectations for the event, Komori's presence at the expo, and the future of the packaging industry.

Having two Koenig & Bauer sheetfed presses equipped with a host of automated modules specific to Koenig & Bauer, such as QualiTronic Color Control, QualiTronic PrintCheck, and QualiTronic Instrument Flight, helps NEPA meet the needs of its individual customer production.

OlymPak Printing & Packaging installed a new six-color, 40" Komori Lithrone GX40 to expand the speed and flexibility of its folding carton production operation. The new Komori press replaces two older presses and is delivering greater production capacity than the two older presses combined.

While the U.S. demand for labels is forecast to rise 3.3% per year to $20.6 billion in 2025, Koenig & Bauer is seeing “significant growth,” especially in North America, as well as worldwide.

With its state-of-the-art technology, Heidelberg is playing a key role in improving the efficiency of in-mold label production. The company is looking to build on its strong position and is therefore stepping up its investment in the development of new technologies for IML production.

The Speedmaster CX 104 boasts a new, ergonomic design with excellent accessibility and offers a completely new operating philosophy (Heidelberg UX), together with a host of assistance systems included as standard.

After working one-on-one with one of Koenig & Bauer's largest packaging customers' production and press crews, John D. Starratt Jr., a regional customer service specialist, was able to help the firm increase its production by 20% and reduce makeready by 40%.

Given an improving order situation and the increasingly positive impact of the group’s extensive transformation, Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG is confident of returning to profitable growth in financial year 2021/2022.
