TLMI hosted its biennial printTHINK Summit from Sept. 11-13, highlighting a variety of label industry topics. This year marked the second edition of the printTHINK Summit, which has expanded on the former Technical Conference, providing insights into the technology and business management aspects of the industry.

In 2017 and 2018, the flexible packaging segment of the package printing industry experienced rapid growth rates as brands and consumers continued to recognize and appreciate its many advantages.

SGIA has announced its 2019 Product of the Year award winners. The winning products were selected from a field of more than 200 entries in 72 categories, and are all produced by PRINTING United exhibitors. The Product of the Year entries will also be on display in the Awards Gallery at PRINTING United.

At the Pack Expo 2019 trade show, Mondi will show pet food manufacturers new insights based on a survey it conducted together with Dow. Other Mondi offerings will be on hand such as Ultra HD flexographic printing, and products that meet food manufacturers’ and cement producers’ packaging needs.

Enrique Lores, president of HP’s Imaging, Printing and Solutions business, has been appointed to succeed Dion Weisler as CEO, effective Nov. 1, 2019. Although Weisler has announced that he will step down due to a “family health matter,” he will remain a director on the company’s board.
