Interpack 2017, the world’s leading international trade fair for the packaging sector and related processing industries, will take place from May 4-10 in Düsseldorf, Germany. This is where some 2,700 exhibitors from about 60 countries will offer a complete overview of the market — with machinery, products and solutions from the sectors of packaging technology, related processes and packaging materials — to 170,000 visitors from around the globe.
By the registration deadline, interpack 2017 recorded the highest exhibitor demand in its 55 year history, with exhibitors booking about 20% more space than is available at the exhibition center with its 2.8 million sq. ft. in 19 halls. Held concurrently will be the special components trade fair, featuring products from the supplier industries of the packaging sector. This event is also fully booked, occupying more than twice as much space as at its premiere staging in 2014.
Despite the unrivaled size of the trade show, the layout is clear and systematic for easy orientation. Suppliers of processes and machinery for packaging food and beverage, pharmaceuticals and cosmetics, non-food consumer goods and industrial goods will occupy more than 10 halls. Packaging materials and products manufacturers can be found in five halls, while the area booked by suppliers of processes and machinery for confectionery and baked goods covers four halls. Visitors can look forward to state-of-the-art packaging and process technology, with many machines shown in full operation.
Key quality characteristics of interpack are also the elaborate booth designs complete with catering for business meetings, its unparalleled internationality with 66% of the visitors coming from 163 countries and the presence of high-ranking executives in the booths as well as among the visitors. At interpack’s last staging in 2014, 84% of the attendees were involved in their company’s decision-making process and 95% rated their participation as successful.
