Absolut Bottle Breakthrough at Packaging Conference

Holland, OH—December 13, 2012—How do you give almost four million Absolut Unique vodka glass bottles a different look? Fredrik Källqvist, development manager glass, for the Ardagh Group’s Denmark and Sweden business operations will explain just that.

As one of the featured speakers at the 2013 Packaging Conference, Källqvist will discuss how the Ardagh Group developed an algorithm-controlled process capable of designing and directly printing up to 94 quintillion neck-to-heel bottle patterns for Absolut Unique vodka without ever repeating one. The concept is being hailed as one of the most formidable packaging challenges ever undertaken in the spirits category.

The Packaging Conference also will feature many other brand owners and suppliers who also will be discussing their latest packaging initiatives and emerging technologies. Next generation materials, business strategies, sustainability efforts, processing developments, and more will be covered February 4-6, 2013 in Atlanta at The Ritz-Carlton, Buckhead.
