New Tape from Mactac Handles Challenging Surfaces
Mactac Technical Products has expanded its line of MACbond Rubber double-coated tapes with the addition of MACbond Foam Bonding Tape. An economical, cost-effective foam-bonding solution, MACbond Foam Bonding Tape features an aggressive adhesive that was specially designed to bond to a wide variety of challenging surfaces, such as polyether and polyester urethane foams. Typical applications include:
- Die-cut foam and rubber gasketing materials
- Low surface energy materials
- Other gasket and cellular materials that are difficult to adhere to

A double-faced tape that touts a 0.5-mil clear polyester (PET) film carrier, MACbond Foam Bonding Tape is available with either an 80# super calendered kraft (SCK) paper liner (FBT380W60) or a 60# SCK paper liner (FBT360W60). Both liners provide superior strength and dimensional stability for optimum handling through various die-cutting processes and more. The liner side of the tape is coated with Mactac's XT high performance rubber adhesive and delivers:

- Quick initial tack
- High temperature resistance
- Excellent shear performance
