MPS at Labelexpo 2010
DIDAM, Netherlands—This year, MPS will show three press lines at Labelexpo 2010 in Chicago: EC, EF, and EXL-packaging.
Short order runs
The new and redesigned EC and EF printing presses give a revolutionary answer to short order runs. Thanks to the following features, the new EC and EF help reducing press set-up time and job changeover waste enormously:
• Automated Print Control (APC): automation of print settings is the new standard
• iControl
• Crisp.Dot technology
• Multi Drive gearless servo technology
The EC and EF printing presses are also the optimal answer for both label and flexible packaging printing and converting. Short web technology and print sleeves are both standards for the new EC and EF printing presses.
Lean Inking
Lean Inking, the effective inking system developed by MPS, is now available as an option on all MPS press lines. Lean Inking combines the advantages of open and closed inking systems in one solution, resulting in the following benefits:
• Higher printing speeds
• No ink spitting nor misting
• Automatic ink level control
• Less anilox wear
• 85 percent reduced ink waste
EXL-packaging
MPS will also show the EXL-packaging printing press at Labelexpo 2010. This machine is designed with the known “Technology with Respect” engineering philosophy. The machine at the show has a web width of 22 inches (maximum width 26 inches) and incorporates the following features:
•Automated Print Control (APC)
• Crisp.Dot technology which introduces an extremely high print definition into the flexible packaging arena
• Multi Drive gearless servo technology
• Lean inking; an optimal combination of closed and open doctor blade systems
• UV and hot air driers both for water and solvent systems
• In line lamination
