Four Star Color Propels Growth with New KBA Rapida

DALLAS—December 11, 2012—KBA North America announces that Four Star Color, a Newton, NJ-based packaging printer, is propelling its growth with a new six-color, 41˝ KBA Rapida 105 press with extended delivery and prepped with UV capabilities. The new press was delivered and installed in mid-July 2012 to coincide with the firm’s move to its new 30,000-square-foot facility in Newton, NJ (Sussex County).

After contacting several press manufacturers and reviewing their models, Chuck Cioppa, president of Four Star Color, and his management team made the decision to purchase the new 41˝ from KBA. “After seeing the KBA factory and talking to other KBA customers and learning of the long distinguished KBA reputation and its majority stake in the packaging press market, I felt quite satisfied that our new KBA press would provide our firm and our customers with the quality, efficiency, and dependability that we need to continue growing,” he says Cioppa.

Four Star Color is receiving the first newly-designed 41˝ Rapida 105 press in the United States, incorporating many technical features from the popular makeready-champion 41˝ KBA Rapida 106 press. The new medium-format series, exhibited at drupa 2012, has an extended range of automation options and increased press speed to 16,500 sph. Four Star’s Rapida 105 is prepped with UV capabilities, allowing the firm to easily switch the press to UV in the future.
