Fire Damages Machinery at Packaging Facility

COOKEVILLE, TN—December 26, 2013—Machinery at the Fibercel Packaging facility on Universal Drive caught fire late Monday night, causing an estimated $70,000 to $75,000 in damages, fire officials said.

Cookeville Fire Lt. Mike Broyles said an employee at the facility called for help around 11:30 p.m.

When fire crews arrived, employees had the bay doors of the building open, allowing firefighters to easily access the fire.
