The Ellis Group Installs the First Komori GLX40 in North America

Komori America and KomCan have announced that The Ellis Group, an Ontario-based packaging services company, has installed an eight-color Lithrone GX40 (GLX840) press equipped with full UV and logistics capabilities. The Ellis Group chose the press for its speed, waste reduction and robust inspection system that ensures defect-free printing.

Serving clients in food, beverage, confectionary, pharmaceuticals and nutraceuticals, the new Komori press makes it possible for The Ellis Group to further expand its capabilities to deliver faster turnaround times, exceptional print quality for high-end packaging and greater operational efficiencies in the pressroom.

The 41˝ press is equipped with Komori’s fully automatic non-stop feeder and delivery, an essential component to high productivity in packaging production. This high-speed press handles a wide range of stock from eight pt. to 40 pt. board and features a PQA-S sheet inspection and color control system especially critical for the packaging markets. Installed on a 36˝ raise, the sophisticated press and logistics system are ideal for maximizing paper handling and fast job turnaround.
