The Prime Minister of Denmark, Helle Thorning-Schmidt, spent an hour at Nilpeter headquarters in Slagelse as part of her re-election campaign on June 2. She made a tour of the factory assembly, the machine shop, the Technology Center, and talked to management and employees in the factory.
“It is incredibly exciting to visit a company like Nilpeter, where you both meet highly skilled employees who are very happy with their work, and a management team, which clearly states that they want to maintain production in Denmark,” said Thorning-Schmidt during the visit.
“We clearly sense that we are entering a global growth period," said Peter Eriksen, COO of Nilpeter. "We are doing well as a company, we have skilled people, and look positively at the future. Nilpeter is a true global player. Today we have manufacturing sites in Europe, USA, and Asia, alongside seven fully owned daughter companies, to remain close to our markets and to support our customers locally. This is a central part of our strategy, and the decentralization is likely to continue.”
