Curtis Packaging, a full service luxury packaging designer and manufacturer, has achieved certification as a G7 Master Printer from IDEAlliance, a not-for-profit industry organization that has been a leader in information technology and publishing for 45 years.
The elite G7 certification assures clients that Curtis Packaging can meet international benchmarks for proof-to-press and press-to-press color reproduction quality and consistency. In addition, it denotes the company’s use of advanced technology, techniques and process controls required to produce high-quality printing. From a customer perspective, these elements combine to provide a level of confidence to virtually eliminate costly travel and time commitments associated with traditional press checks.
“In the past year, Curtis has worked with our key vendor Flint Inks to accomplish G7 certification," said Kerry Brown, vice president of operations. "We invested in prepress hardware and software to enhance our production workflows. On our press floor we have invested in the Ink Zone Color Management System to control press conditions to our G7 fingerprinting. This technology, combined with the printing expertise at Curtis Packaging, brings us to the highest level of print quality. Implementing the standards associated with G7 Master Printer will add another level of process control and quality control that will result in a better predictability and an overall enhanced product.”
