Bizerba's Growth Leads to New Facility

May 8, 2012—Bizerba North America’s USA Label Solutions Division has moved its Forest Hill, MD office to 1804 Fashion Court in Joppa, MD.

This new facility will also allow ample space to house Bizerba’s customer service, artwork and design staff, flexographic printing, and new, state of the art, Digital Printing and Label Converting department.

With the growth of Bizerba’s Label Solutions Division, under the direction of president, John Gomeau, and Bizerba North America CEO, Robert Slykhuis, and the addition of Digital Printing equipment, as well as expanding warehousing services being provided for Bizerba customers, it was decided that Bizerba Label Solutions has outgrown its current facility in Forest Hill, MD, and needed to change. The new 59,371-square-foot facility, will more than double the space of the current facility.

Operations are running under the same phone numbers and contact structure as was used at the previous address.

“This move will enable Bizerba Label Solutions to continue to grow, continue to invest in equipment upgrades and continue to create jobs,” said Cheryll Ziemblicki, controller for Bizerba. "It will also increase Bizerba’s warehousing capabilities, which allows us to better serve our customers."

Bizerba Label Solutions is one of three Label production facilities worldwide, with one location in Milan, Italy, and the main facility located in Bochum, Germany.

An official “Ribbon Cutting” took place on May 4, 2012. In addition to the Joppa staff, Andreas Kraut, chairman of the executive board of Bizerba GmbH and Robert Slykhuis, president and CEO of Bizerba’s North American operations—as well as several customers, various supplier representatives, county and State Representatives—were in attendance.
