The market for microwaveable ready meals continues to expand. The British company BCP Fluted Packaging has launched a new range of packages for microwaveable meals under the trademark Heat’n’Hold. Designed for filled baguettes and sausage rolls, the packages are made of corrugated board and an inner susceptor layer provided by Walki Wisa. “Our WALKI®CrispLine consists of a metallized PET film laminated onto paper. The material acts as a hot plate that generates considerably higher temperatures than could otherwise be achieved in microwave ovens,” explains Jan-Anders Fagerhed, Technical Sales and R&D Manager at Walki Wisa. WALKI®CrispLine is used in the same way as conventional liners
