FAIRFIELD, Ohio—Sony Corporation has recognized Color Resolutions International’s (CRI) ongoing commitment to sound environmental practices and earth-friendly inks by certifying CRI as a member of its Green Partner Program.

Five students from California Polytechnic State University will test their problem solving skills in this year’s Phoenix Challenge College Competition. Color Resolutions International (CRI) stepped in to help them address their first challenge—the funding to get there.

FAIRFIELD, Ohio—Color Resolutions International (CRI) has announced that effective Nov. 1, 2007 prices on all packaging inks will be raised from 7 to 14 percent, depending on the color and resin technology. CRI President and CEO George Sickinger indicated that the price increases are necessary due to two major factors: elimination of refunds that Chinese exporters receive from the Chinese value-added tax (VAT) and a continuing rise in raw materials, transportation, and energy costs. Effective July 1, 2007, the Chinese government repealed the VAT export tax refund for 553 “high-energy consuming, high polluting, and scarce natural resource-consuming” products.
