More than 500 entries from Flexo printers around the world were evaluated in the 2013 Flexographic Technical Association (FTA) Excellence in Flexography Awards. The awards were presented at the FTA Forum & INFO*FLEX show in San Diego. Eberhard Huter has joined Flint Group as vice president sales for Flint Group Flexographic Products. In his new role, Huter is responsible for worldwide sales and is a member of the divisional steering committee. Prior to his new position in Flint Group, Eberhard Huter gained professional experience in the flexible packaging industry while working as managing director and global account director for major global consumables suppliers. British supermarket chain, ASDA has learned a lot from its parent company, Walmart, to boost its sustainability ratings. Their CSR initiatives saw some serious financial pay-offs for the company. The company saved £70 million ($110 million) in 2010 because of its sustainability plans. By 2020, it hopes that its new goals will see a total saving of  £800 million. One of its most significant achievements includes eliminating 149,000 metric tons of carbon from its operations since 2007.
