Nelipak Healthcare Packaging will invest at least $11.8 million to establish a flexible packaging production site in Winston-Salem. The company says it will create at least 36 new jobs in Forsyth County, North Carolina, and expects to make additional investments and job creation at the site over the next five years.

North Carolina Governor Bev Perdue and executives from RockTenn Co., Norcross, Ga., have announced a plan for the consumer packaging company to expand and relocate its folding carton operation in Marion, N.C. According to a news release issued by the state of North Carolina, RockTenn expects to invest around $23 million in 2011 and 2012 and will create 124 jobs. PLASTICS NEWS REPORT HAMLET, N.C. (Jan. 17, 2:50 p.m. ET) -- Plastics film converter Global Packaging Inc. plans to move into the former Alpha Plastics plant in Hamlet, N.C.
