North Carolina Governor Bev Perdue and executives from RockTenn Co., Norcross, Ga., have announced a plan for the consumer packaging company to expand and relocate its folding carton operation in Marion, N.C. According to a news release issued by the state of North Carolina, RockTenn expects to invest around $23 million in 2011 and 2012 and will create 124 jobs. The company adds that it expects to invest a total of nearly $30 million on the project over the course of five years. The folding carton plant in Marion is not one of
