The winners of the second Heidelberg ECO Printing Award were honored at a ceremony at the Print Media Academy (PMA) in Heidelberg on July 6, 2011. Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG (Heidelberg) initiated this international sustainability award for sheetfed offset print shops.

The Sansico Group, based in Jakarta, Indonesia, has been using two waterless Genius 52 UV printing machines from KBA-Metroprint in the production of plastic packaging. The two Genius 52 UVs help to produce plastic packaging for an international toy manufacturer. The Genius 52 UV is suitable for printing on plastic and other non-absorbent substrates. Such materials call for very short set-up times and the Genius 52 also produces less waste. Sansico began as a local producer and has developed into an international group for packaging and paper products. Of the current five production facilities, four are in Greater Jakarta
