PLASTICS NEWS REPORT HAMLET, N.C. (Jan. 17, 2:50 p.m. ET) -- Plastics film converter Global Packaging Inc. plans to move into the former Alpha Plastics plant in Hamlet, N.C. According to a Jan. 14 news release from Gov. Bev Perdue, Global plans to create 64 jobs and invest $1.7 million during the next three years in Hamlet. Oaks, Pa.-based Global specializes in flexographic printing of high-quality graphics on a variety of film-based substrates and converting printed material into bags or roll stock.
