By: Packaging online staff Atlanta-based recycled packaging company Caraustar Industries notified the state of Connecticut Dec. 2 of its plans to shut down its folding carton plant in Versailles, Conn., on or around Jan. 30, and lay off 13 salaried and 66 hourly employees, The Day reports.

Aurora Capital Group makes an exit of its Pennsylvania-based investment. Connecticut-based label and packaging maker Cenveo, Inc., agreed to acquire Gilbreth Packaging Solutions from Los Angeles-based Aurora Capital Group. Terms of the deal were not disclosed and calls were not acknowledged by press time. Gilbreth Packaging makes shrink sleeves, tamper-evident neck bands and other packaging products used in the personal care, pharmaceutical and food and beverage industries.
