Yazoo Mills, a manufacturer of 100 percent recycled paper tubes and cores, announced its recent purchase of a new high speed automatic, multi-knife paper tube recutting line from Paco Winders Manufacturing.

Yazoo’s durable and environmentally-friendly tubes help protect the show’s large backdrops from all elements and keep them from being ripped or torn, scratched, and free from creases during the storage and shipping process for each onset location.

Due to increased demand for products such as paper cores for the converting industry and other specialty items, Yazoo Mills has purchased a new high-speed, multi-knife paper tube recutting line to assist its focus on the future. Paco Winders Manufacturing, based in Philadelphia, will supply the complete line equipped with custom built knife bars.

Yazoo Mills has added nine additional sizes of 3” I.D. X .250 cores to its stock core program, bringing it to a grand total of 103 sizes of cores in stock at all times, guaranteed. With the additional nine sizes, Yazoo now stocks 60 sizes of 3” I.D. X .125 cores and 43 sizes of 3” I.D. and 6” I.D. X .250 cores. All of Yazoo’s stock cores range from 1⁄2” to 60” in length.

Yazoo now offers significantly lower minimums for printed covers and liners, tailored to small quantity orders. Additionally, the company has reduced its printing plate costs by 30 percent.

Yazoo Mills opened its second PA facility in Hanover earlier this week. The 45,000-square-foot plant now houses mailing tubes, stock cores and numerous raw materials—expanding the company's ability to meet customers’ requests for same-day and next-day shipments. The facility will also broaden the company's production capabilities and product lines.
