Sartomer Company Announces Global Restructuring

EXTON, Pa.—Global specialty chemicals manufacturer Sartomer Company announced a corporate restructuring designed to enhance global customer support for companies with multinational operations. Sartomer’s new President, Dr. Luigi Colantuoni, announced the realignment. Effective immediately, Sartomer will operate with three geographical sales regions, five central operating functions, and two global business units, all of which report directly to the president. Sartomer Increases Price of Methacrylate Monomer

EXTON, Pa.—Global specialty chemicals manufacturer Sartomer Company will increase the price of its methacrylate monomers and urethane acrylate oligomers effective January 15, 2007 (or as contracts allow). Increases will vary by product line as follows: Methacrylate monomers increase will range from 10 cents to 15 cents per pound Urethane acrylate oligomers will increase by 15 cents per pound The price increase is due to the continuing escalation of key raw material costs that are on a tight supply situation. Sartomer appoints new business development manager

EXTON, Pa.—Global specialty chemicals manufacturer Sartomer Company has appointed Alan Pape as business development manager. Pape is responsible for developing new business and markets for the specialty polymers division, which includes appliciations such as one-part moisture-curable and reactive hot-melt adhesives and sealants, tie layers between non-polar surfaces, and as modifiers for other polymer systems. He will report directly to Bill Wittig, business manager of Sartomer’s specialty polymers division. Pape has been with Sartomer for eight years, and previously held the positions of technical sales representative and product champion. He was named Sartomer’s Salesperson of the Year in 2001.
