The next stop on Harper's 2013 SMART Roadshow is Cincinnati. Hosted by Nilpeter, the event will take place on Thursday June 6, 2013.

Set to be the largest in the show’s 33 year history, Labelexpo Europe 2013 returns to Belgium between September 24-27. "There is nowhere better to see the latest product launches, compare technologies, network and do business," said Lisa Milburn, managing director of the Labelexpo Global Series.

With the addition of a new Martin MBSF butt splicer on a new 13˝ Nilpeter SG3300 press, El Paso, Texas-based General Labels increased its production throughput by nearly 40 percent. "We selected Martin Automatic because of their reputation, engineering, and dominance in the industry. We liked the fact that they have experience in a wide range of industries so there are very few surprises for them."

News on suppliers to the packaging printing industry, including items on Heidelberg, Bobst, Wilson Manufacturing, Multi-Plastics Inc., Nilpeter, Emerald Packaging and Gintzler Graphics.

For K-1 Packaging Group, a City of Industry-based, family-owned and operated producer of folding cartons, narrow-web labels, flexible packaging, and rigid boxes, the one-stop-shop definition is said to run deep. Nilpeter, with headquarters in Slagelse, Denmark, has received the ‘Privately Owned Enterprise of the Year 2012’ business award in a competition run by PricewaterhouseCoopers, newspaper Jyllands Posten, and financial services provider Nykredit. Nilpeter competed against 3,000 other Danish companies to win the title.

At Labelexpo Americas 2012, a steady parade of show attendees were treated to a wide array of new products and technology demonstrations. A major highlight of the show, the Label Industry Global Awards 2012, took place on Tuesday, Sept. 11 at the Aragon Ballroom in Chicago. Steve Lee, vice president of technology at RotoMetrics, was honored with the prestigious R Stanton Avery Lifetime Achievement Award.

With more than 400 exhibitors at this year's Labelexpo Americas in Chicago, including Avery Dennison, UPM Raflatac, Gallus, EskoArtwork, Nilpeter, Flint Group, Mark Andy, and Sun Chemical, show visitors will be perfectly positioned to make informed choices from the numerous live demonstrations of the latest machinery and materials. Three new comprehensive workshop sessions for label and package printers will also be offered.

Under the banner of “Taking You to the NEXT Level,” Nilpeter will be unveiling UV-flexo presses, as well as other new developments at its 700 square-meter-exhibition stand at LabelExpo Americas in Chicago this September.

Our first stop on Day 2 was a visit to Fujifilm booth where we met fellow Tweeter, Tony Karg. It was good to put a face to the tweets and have Tony show us the very interesting new B2 inkjet digital folding carton press.
