OLBRICH, with headquarters in Germany, has appointed Matik as its exclusive agent for North America to target the coating and laminating market for growth. Matik plans to expand OLBRICH’s presence in North America as well as provide U.S.-based parts and service support to existing OLBRICH customers in the United States, Mexico and Canada.

Norwood Printing, Inc. has completed the installation of its third Edelmann web press, which was supplied by Edelmann’s distributor, Matik North America. Norwood Printing is the Package Insert & Outsert branch of Control Group, a supplier of printed packaging for pharmaceutical, health care, cosmetics, and consumer goods. The press, a Color Print V76, was purchased to provide additional production capacity, as well as replace a full-size sheetfed machine. It will run lightweight pharmaceutical grade paper to produce inserts and outserts. WEST HARFORD, Conn.—Matik North America, the exclusive distributor for Edelmann Graphics GmbH, has launched the latest generation of shaft-less narrow-web presses from Edelmann in North America. Edelmann is a German manufacturer of litho based narrow-web presses. The company has been building presses since 1972 with a total worldwide installed base of 3,400. Well-known and successful in Europe, Matik appointed an Edelmann specialist, Chris Davis 18 months ago to raise the profile of the Edelmann range in the North American market.
