FUJIFILM Rolls out FLENEX Flexographic Plate Systems

The Graphic Systems Division of FUJIFILM North America will be including its successful Clarity Water Washable Flexographic Plate as part of a new line-up of FUJIFILM FLENEX flexographic plate systems. The water-washable system (digital and analog) previously known as Clarity Water-Wash Flexo Plates, will now be marketed as Fujifilm FLENEX Water-Washable Plates (FW).

Making the Inkjet Decision

Tennessee-based Graphic Label Solutions (GLS) was seeking an alternative to its existing label production process. The company was using screen printing as well as a wide-format printer to produce labels. But as run lengths shortened, the screen printing process became cost-prohibitive, and digital wide-format printing lacked the throughput needed to meet demand. In addition, GLS was seeking new business, a more efficient way to finish its work, and sought an environmentally sustainable solution to match the company's desire to have as small an environmental footprint as possible.

BDT Media Automation, Fuji Dimatix and Phoseon to Develop Complete Printing Solution for Packaging Market

BDT Media Automation, which specializes in B2 format feeders in digital printing, FUJIFILM Dimatix, a provider of inkjet printheads for commercial and industrial printing, and Phoseon Technology, a developer of UV LED curing solutions for commercial and industrial applications, have agreed to work together to develop a complete digital printing solution for packaging applications.

Heidelberg and Gallus—May Be the Deal of the Year
