Seaboard Installs Bobst SPeria Diecutter

FITCHBURG, Massachusetts—Seaboard Folding Box has recently installed a Bobst SPeria 106-E Autoplaten® Diecutter, which replaced three of the company's older Bobst 1260 diecutters.

“The 1260s had been good machines, but it was time to replace them,” says Seaboard’s General Manager Ray Falco. “The speed and lower set-up times of the new machine allow us to exceed the combined productivity and quality of the three older machines. So, while we’re replacing equipment and enhancing quality, we’re also adding capacity.”

The SPeria 106-E also allows Seaboard to take advantage of the latest Bobst diecutting features and technology to reduce turnaround time and enhance finished product quality. The SPeria 106-E has inline stripping capabilities and can diecut and emboss at speeds up to 7,700 sheets per hour. It can diecut paper with a minimum thickness of .004”, solid board up to .060” thick (2000 g/m2 ) and corrugated board up to .160” and is equipped with an inline stripping section which eliminates the process of manual stripping.
