Package of the Week

This week’s POW! Package of the Week — the Nestlé Smarties Stand-up Pouch — demonstrates how an innovative approach to single-use packaging can lead to sustainability gains.

The stand-up pouch was made by American Packaging Corporation’s plant in Columbus, Wisconsin, shows how paper-based packaging can be manufactured to mimic the functionality of plastic-based packaging while maintaining speed on press. View the video to learn more about the paper-based packaging that was printed on a rotogravure press.

If you’d like to see your printed packaging spotlighted in a future episode of POW! Package of the Week!, please email lcasey@napco.com and mail two samples of the assembled package (does not need to include product but does need to be assembled) along with details on how your package was printed and converted to Linda Casey, Packaging Impressions magazine, 248 Saxony Loop, Summerville, SC 29486-6939
