This month in packagePRINTING, we look at the color printing of corrugated packaging. What is the role of color digital printing there? What is the outlook for color digital printers? To find out, packagePRINTING and InfoTrends partnered recently to survey senior managers at 30 companies that print corrugated packages in the United States.

The food and beverage vertical was identified as the largest end-user of corrugated boxes of all segments in North America, accounting for 51 percent of shipments in 2010. Corrugated for the food vertical is forecast to continue increasing at an average annual rate of 2.4 percent through 2015.

DURHAM, NH—Dec. 15 2011—Goss International has acquired the assets of Vits Print GmbH, adding industry-leading sheeting and specialized finishing components that complement its portfolio of Goss web offset print production solutions. VITS-America Inc., located in Blauvelt, NY, is not part of the acquisition. Vits Print Rotocut sheeter models and Jet Web finishing products, including coaters, diecutters, prefolders and plow stations, will now be manufactured at the Goss International Contiweb facility in Boxmeer, The Netherlands.
