Packaging Corporation of America (PCA) will open a new manufacturing facility for corrugated products in Muhlenberg Township, as part of its plans to expand in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

Manchester will ultimately be merged into PaperWorks, itself an affiliate of Sun Capital Partners. With five facilities in Michigan, Indiana, Pennsylvania, Virginia and Texas, Manchester Industries provides large-scale sheeting, rewinding and cutting operations to commercial printers and packaging companies across the continent. The company’s 180 employees will become part of the PaperWorks Paperboard Group. Aurora Capital Group makes an exit of its Pennsylvania-based investment. Connecticut-based label and packaging maker Cenveo, Inc., agreed to acquire Gilbreth Packaging Solutions from Los Angeles-based Aurora Capital Group. Terms of the deal were not disclosed and calls were not acknowledged by press time. Gilbreth Packaging makes shrink sleeves, tamper-evident neck bands and other packaging products used in the personal care, pharmaceutical and food and beverage industries.
