DRUPA 2012 may be over but the impact will be felt in the package print industry for years to come. Survey responses indicate that 40 percent of DRUPA attendees made the journey to Düsseldorf specifically for digital package printing.

The annual engineering award is organized by the French magazines “Usine Nouvelle” and “Industrie & Technologies”, in partnership with the National Council of French Engineers and Scientists. Environmental sustainability offers a key opportunity for the United States food packaging sector, a US executive told delegates at a seminar at the Interpack trade event in Dusseldorf, Germany. "Green packaging is a huge opportunity for food producers - particularly in the snack and bakery categories," Eva Peters, director of Packaging Development at Pepperidge Farm told the seminar.
