EskoWorld 2020, which is designed to connect brands to their packaging and printing supply chains to discover the latest techniques and solutions, will take place in Dallas, April 28-30, 2020.

Recognizing the packaging industry's aging workforce and emerging skills gap, Esko has made a $1.2 million in-kind gift to the Indiana State University packaging engineering technology program. By working with the same software that helps produce nine out of 10 retail packages, ISU students will be increasingly prepared to join the industry.

Siegwerk held a ribbon-cutting and grand opening ceremony to celebrate the new Siegwerk Ink Lab at Clemson University’s Sonoco Institute of Packaging Design and Graphics on Wednesday, Sept. 4. The lab will provide students with opportunities to explore packaging design elements via ink technology.

Paperboard packaging manufacturers across North America recently participated in the Trees Into Cartons, Cartons Into Trees (TICCIT) program, developed by the Paperboard Packaging Council. The Specialty Graphic Imaging Association (SGIA) has announced the recipients of $40,000 worth of graphic communications scholarships. Out of 67 applicants, the association awarded 20 SGIA Educational Institution Member students with $2,000 each.
